Healing (channelling energy from a universal source of energy via the hands) is not a substitute for professional veterinary intervention, although it can form part of a holistic treatment plan.
It can be used in combination with other standard veterinary treatment programmes and has no contra-indications. Only vets can diagnose medical conditions and prescribe medical and other interventions.
The RCVS Guide to Professional Conduct provides guidelines for animal care including references to the ‘laying on of hands’ (hands-on energy healing).
Prior to hands-on healing commencing, I recommend – as a courtesy – that your Vet is informed.
Prior to (canine) massage treatments commencing, veterinary permission must be obtained and my assessment form includes a confirmation section you must sign to confirm this.
